Boats launched: ALB

Reason: Humber Coastguard received a radio call form the local fishing vessel MV Fidelity stating she had what she believed to be mine in her nets approx 1 mile North of Amble. Amble ALB was requested to launch and take out the Royal Navy Bomb Disposal Team to the fishing vessel. They cut the mine free form the nets and attached a bouy to it, ready to return in the morning when they could dispose of it with better light conditions

Boats launched: ALB and ILB

Reason: Both lifeboats were requested to launch after the local fishing vessel MV Mizpah reported taking on water approx. 2 miles South of Coquet Island.  Once on scene, Amble ALB transferred their pump and one crewman to control the ingess of water.  A tow was establised and the fishing vessel was towed back to Amble.

Boats launched: ALB and ILB

Reason: Both lifeboats were requested to launch after reports were recieved that a distressed person was threatening to enter the water in Amble Harbour.  Local Coastguard units and the local Police had managed to retrieve the person from the water so after a check that no further assistance was required all units were stood down.

Boats launched: ALB and ILB

Reason: Both lifeboats were launched after the 26ft cabin cruiser, “Seren-y-mor”, with 2 P.O.B, reported taking water just 500m from the harbour entrance.  Two crew from the ILB went on board the casualty and managed to stop the ingress of water which was caused by a burst exhaust water outlet pipe.  Amble ALB passed a tow line and towed the vessel to Amble Marina with the ILB escorting both boats.
