Visibility: Good
Sea state: Light
Time of launch:
Time of return:

Boats launched: ALB and ILB

Reason: Both lifeboats were requested to launch after Humber Coastguard reieved a signal in the Druridge Bay area from an Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (E.P.I.R.B). A search was carried out with Seaking Rescue Helicopter from RAF Boulmer assisting.  After a short time the helicopter was able to lock onto the signal and traced it to a Sea Survival Equipment factory.  Being an accidental activation, all units were stood down and returned to base shortly afterwards.

Wind: SSE 6-7
Visibility: Good
Sea state: 3m swell
Time of launch: 0930hrs
Time of return: 1300hrs

Boats launched: ALB

Reason: Amble ALB was requested to launch after the local fishing vessel MV Provider, with 2 P.O.B, reported mechanical failure 9.5 miles East of Craster.  Amble ALB proceeded to the scene, passed the tow line and started the slow tow back to Amble due to the large sea swell.
