Reason: Whilst out on a regular training exercise, Amble Lifeboat was requested by Humber Coastguard to assist a vessel that had run aground on Coquest Island. The ALB made best speed to the area and knowing the tidal conditions, requested the ILB was launched to assist.
Once on scene the ILB transferred a crew man from the ALB onto the casualty vessel, a 20ft angling boat. A two was connected and the vessel was pulled into deeper water by the ILB, who, after checking the boat was not damaged, commenced a tow back to Amble Marina. Almble Lifeboat escorted the ILB and casulaty vessel back to Amble before continuing on exercise.
