Reason: Humber Coastguard requested the immediate launch of boat Amble Lifeboat and Amble ILB after the fishing vessel “TRUE VINE” reported taking on water approximately 1 mile ENE of Amble Harbour. Amble ILB was first on scene within 5 min and took up position to escort the casualty vessel that was heading for Amble. Amble Lifeboat was on scene soon after and was able to transfer a pump and 3 crew to try and pump out the water. With the pump running, the vessel was escorted into Amble Harbour and to the boatyard pontoon, where the vessel was lifted out so the source of water could be found. Once safely in the hands of Amble Boat Company, the Lifeboats returned to station where they were made ready for service.
