Wind: N 2/3
Visibility: Poor – Foggy
Sea state: Slight
Time of launch: 0830hrs
Time of return: 0955hrs

Boats launched: ALB

Reason: Amble Lifeboat was launched after the 7 Metre motor cruiser ‘Wave Dancer’ reported they had got wound up on pot tows, with a lot of rope round his prop stalling his engine, 4.6 miles NNE of the harbour. Once on scene the ALB passed a tow and started to tow the vessel back to Amble, on route back the casualty asked to be taken to the boatyards pontoon so he could be lifted out to assess the situation. Nearing the harbour 1 crewman was put aboard to help get the casualty alongside and make ropes fast when they got to the yard. As the ALB returned to station after mooring the casualty at the boatyard he was lifted out and untangled checked over and then launched with no further problems.
